Help The Texas Biomedical Forum match a $20,000 gift for scientific research through Big Give S.A.!
The Texas Biomedical Forum “The Forum”, through the Big Give S.A. is asking you to help raise $20,000 in a 24-hour period on Tuesday May 6th that will be matched dollar for dollar. Each year The Forum sponsors seed monies for pilot study grants to the scientists at Texas Biomed. These pilot study dollars have led to subsequent and often significant federal funding of research. In just the last 13 years, Forum pilot grants have directly resulted in more than $30 million in major grant awards for studies in heart disease, cancer, neurological disorders, diabetes, obesity, hepatitis and much more. Forum grants often provide a competitive edge for Texas Biomed researchers as they advance their best and most creative ideas to compete for major grants. Through your help, The Forum hopes to be able to fund one additional scientific grant to add to the total raised at their 2014 Gala. Today’s research is the groundwork for tomorrow’s cure. The work being done at Texas Biomed saves lives…be a part of the discoveries.
