E. SNPRC Immunology Core Laboratory

The Immunology Core Laboratory (ICL) of the SNPRC base grant is a Research Service component within Research Resources. The main goals of the ICL are:

  • To provide assays based in flow cytometry for the characterization of blood
cell subsets and the determination of cell mediated activity (T-cell
proliferation, cytotoxic and natural killer cell activity) in nonhuman
primate species [More information on FLOW CYTOMETRY service].

  • To provide methodologies for the simultaneous determination of multiple
cytokines and chemokines in biological fluids derived from nonhuman primate
species [More information on LUMINEX service].

  • To provide a service for genotyping selected MHC class I alleles in Indian
rhesus macaques [More information on GENOTYPING]. [More information on GENOTYPING to come].

We are also participants in the NIH Nonhuman Primate Reagent Resource [http://nhpreagents.bidmc.harvard.edu/NHP/default.aspx].
